If you intend to attach higher capacity drives (>=8TB) be wary of the maximum power draw as the included AC adapter only supplies 36W (12V3A).
Certain OEM WD drives (EZAZ, EMAZ) can hit peak power draws of just over 20W which means this will fail if you attempt to use two at a time. It seems to increment UDMA CRC Error Count in S.M.A.R.T data when this happens which isn't great.

It manifests at spurious USB disconnects and I/O errors.
When using only one of these drives it works pretty much flawlessly which is good (5Gbps).

When using two of my drives at once these errors are reproducible across different USB controllers, motherboards, CPUs, RAM, etc.

Pay attention to the max power draw on drive datasheets. A 12V5A AC adapter may be able to rectify this but I haven't got one handy. There is no obvious indication about exceeding power draw on the unit (LEDs) or firmware messages from the ASM1156 controller.
This review is 2-stars (Poor) and not 3-stars (Average) because the description states "It supports all 2.5" and 3.5" SATA I, II, and III HDD and SSD up to any capacity" which is misleading for very high capacity drives where power usage is increased. It's wise to have a fan blowing on the drives too.

I use these with both Linux and windows machines. Clones everything I have tried so far, and I run all of my HD's (except the boot drive) on these rather than plugged into the motherboard. Enables easy swapping of disks between computers by moving the USB plug, without rebooting. Acceptably fast for my usage, although I am not a state-of-the-art gamer. No problem playing 4k video. Use both SSD's and conventional HD's. Clones the boot drive successfully without a computer (both windows and linux), worth buying for this feature alone. Cannot clone from large to small obviously, small to large works, but the larger disc "becomes" the same size as the smaller one.
Several years use with these ( I run 4 full time), only had one failure, and the disk survived. Highly recommended.

Was a bit fiddly to use, but after a PC restart it started working just fine. Was expecting to have to get a USB to USB-C adapter, but the USB-C side is the side that goes into the dock and the USB goes into the computer. One issue however, when inserting or removing the second disk both drives go offline and restart. So once you have a transfer going you can't remove or add the other drive until it's finished. A minor issue, but something to be aware of.

Works as described, although I haven't tried cloning hard drives. It's been great to plugin old external drives lying around the office that failed due to their enclosures and get some use out of them rather than throwing them all out. It's not flashy but it works as advertised.
