Got this cooler for my i3-12100f and my temps have gone from 50-60 degrees idle with stock cooler to 20-30 degrees idle. With Cpu at 100% use on Cinebench for 10mins only got to 62 degrees max. My 7600 CPU would get to 85 degrees and crash during 3d mark benchmark runs(CPU load section) with this it gets to 70 max under full load in a small front to back itx case.

I would recommend this .
It mounts to the am5/am4 factory black fan clips which I still had in a box. A bit tricky if you are in a small case. I had to remove my graphics card and push aside my power supply to fit it. Careful not to bend the fins..

Pretty frustrating experience trying to get this to fit my motherboard. The plastic adapter fit fine onto the cooler itself, but when attached to the motherboard the pasted part sits on the CPU too low, meaning the clips on the side can't reach the plastic adapter that attaches to the mobo. Wasted a lot of paste thinking I was doing something wrong, but in the end just had to return it.

Cannot say enough about the AG300. Great value for effective CPU Cooling. This is my second purchase of this model of cooler, which is for a current PC Build (Ryzen 5 5500). My son uses one on his PC too, it works great. On Cinebench tests there is a 20 oC reduction in temperature compared to the AMD Wraith stock cooler, & the unit only weighs 350 grams. Yes, it uses the Spring clip latch mount style to hold against the CPU, and yes it makes good tight contact, but that helps in heat transfer to the cooler. Cannot say enough about the AG300. Yes the click is tight but ive been assembling computers for 30 years its always been hard to do the final push down and lock. Thats for a reason it must be very very firm so your cpu doesnt get a hot spot from a loose area. If you find it too hard you probably should be getting a professional to do it. For the price I am amazed this little cooler is keeping my I5 chip barely above room temp at idle. Keeps my PC a lot cooler, about 25 degrees lower then my stock cooler but, I had to bend the clips for it to work with my LGA1200 socket. Also looks great in my DEEPCOOL case. I have a 5700x which use to run at 85-90 degrees under load, with this fan it now runs at 60-70. However the design of this thing is absolutely absurd. I have to literally smash this thing down into the ground in order for it to barely fit in the mounting bracket. Challenge was a youngest son with a borrowed processor that he needed to keep cool - and none of his own funds. This item is a great price/performance trade-off although as other people have noted it was a challenge to install the cooler unit onto the bracket, which needed quite a lot of downforce. The mobo was out of the case anyway so it went on an anti-static bag on top of bubblewrap so I could lean on the clips without worrying, and that worked. Temps look good (as expected - this cooler has a much higher TDP rating than the CPU) and it's quiet, so, good.

This cooler is cheap and the performance is very solid. The base mounting bracket is very easy to install. However you pay for it when installing the cooler and fan assembly, as it's quite a fiddly thing to get on and you really have to push quite hard on the bracket and tab in order to latch it on to the base mounting bracket.
If you're upgrading from the stock cooler, be sure to give yourself as much light and room as possible by removing the GPU and other surrounding components first. Once it's installed, it's an excellent little cooler and a solid upgrade in temps and fan noise over the stock intel cooler. But installing it is not a pleasant task compared to something from Noctua. The slightly higher price bracket coolers from Deepcool also appear to have a nicer mounting solution, so if you're not good with fiddly things it might be worth spending the extra 15-20 bucks to get one with a nicer mount.

So I initially bought this to cool my 13100f. Did a phenomenal job , idle at low 20Cs and max load it barely got above 60C.

I have since upgraded to a 13400f, which has 10 cores. It idles at 28-30C and 100% usage on all cores only got the temps up to about 60-65C which is crazy good performance for this price point.

Only down side is that removing the cpu cooler was a bit annoying and the mount mechanism isnt my favourite, but hey for this price, dont think this can be beat. So I initially bought this to cool my 13100f. Did a phenomenal job , idle at low 20Cs and max load it barely got above 60C.
