I bought the Roborock S7 after our Xiaomi 1C died after a software update. The mopping ability of the S7 is much better than the 1C so it is a great vacuum if you have a considerable amount of hardfloors in the house. I think that the carpet vacuuming ability is very comparable if not slightly worse than the 1C. The more advanced navigation of the S7 is overall not really an advantage compared to the 1C in our particular house. It does navigate around furniture and go along walls a bit better but also gets confused by our full height windows and black couches. The S7 has the ability to lift its mop while on carpet but with deep carpets like ours it does not go high enough and tends to get stuck, so we need to remove the mop while doing carpet anyway. Overall the 1C probably has a better price to performance ratio compared to the S7 for houses that have mostly carpet, given that it is less than half the price, but the S7 is still an excellent (but more expensive) vacuum.

Working great and makes a big difference. A bit of an issue to connect to wifi but once turned off the 5GHz it connected via the 2.4GHz as only works in this. After owning this for a few weeks now. There was only one con and that is if you have a large home. Then setting it up the first time is a long wait. It has to scan the entire area. But once that’s all done, everything is a breeze.

The app is great and easy to use. And it literally pays for itself eventually. I have saved so much time not having to clean and mop so often. After owning this for a few weeks now. I have a dog and two cats and I've been running it for a few weeks now and it's been great, especially on hard flooring. On carpet is ok, but it only cleans on a more superficial level.

I was sceptical at first, as I have three dogs and there is always dog hair everywhere, but this vacuum is doing a great job. The scheduled feature is great, and it doesn’t seem to get stuck often.

Is it too much too say life changing? I love this thing. Took a bit of fiddling with the app to get my settings right but now its a dream. Vacs my carpets, mops my floors and with the self emptying dock its almost totally automatic.
It does have a bit of a issue with shaggy rugs but I set it to avoid those and they're easy enough to hand vac, but it handles the big open spaces perfectly and I couldn't be happier! The roborock is a great vacuum cleaner and mop. It does the work when I'm at work and I no longer need to clean all the time with my two cats shedding through summer. I'm surprised at how much cat hair the vacuum can hold but to be safe I empty it about every second clean.
I find the mapping app not too hard to use, takes a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it it's easy. The only hard thing was figuring out how to mop only as you need to pick "deep" over standard which isn't intuitive.

Had been in my wishlist for long. Finally bought it and gladly more than me, my wife loved it.
So 5 stars just for that.
Suction power is great and after the full round of cleaning and mopping I can literally see the difference.

We have had a Roborock S6 MaxV for a year, and it's great for both keeping the floors clean without effort and for controlling allergies. It is a little weak on wet mopping performance but since we never got around to mopping much, this was still a huge improvement in terms of having a clean and tidy house. However, the battery wouldn't hold enough charge to do a whole storey on maximum suction so it was taking two days to get the 2-storey house done.

It vacuums well, mops brilliantly (with both models the mop has to be wet until quite sodden before putting it into the mount for a good performance) and is faster, quieter, and can do downstairs without needing to recharge. It does the initial floor mapping very quickly and after that its navigation is efficient.

We chose the S7 model rather than the S7 MaxV because the S7 has a larger capacity dustbin than the S7 +MaxV (470ml cf 400ml according to a table at roborock.com) and a larger water tank (300ml cf 200 ml). The dustbin size is important - the dustbin needs to be emptied once or twice during a downstairs vacuum if the cat fur has had a week to build up.

Pros compared to S6MaxV: quicker, better mopping.

Cons compared to S6MaxV:
- dustbin is much harder to empty. Because of the angle of the opening to the bin, solid stuff such as cat food pellets fall straight out and back into the bin recess or onto the floor. I then have to use a knife to pull the dust out, then actually take out the filter so I can give it a quick vacuum with a dustbuster or go outside and knock it on the side of the house to shake the dust off. The S6MaxV design was much better.
- I don't like the look of the carpet afterwards as much as I do with the S6MaxV which has a bristle brush that fluffs the carpet up a little and gives a uniform matte finish with very elegant tracks through it which has quite a restful Zen garden look.

I'd highly recommend either.
Our budget didn't run to auto-emptying stations but tbh unless you've got enough space somewhere out of sight for them you may not want one. Also for the S7 MaxV I think you have to use proprietary dustbags if you don't want the dust just recirculating.
