Razer BlackShark v2 Pro 2023 Wireless Gaming Headset - White Edition

I bought these to replace a older wired Hyper X headset as I wanted to go wireless with my setup and am beyond happy with them. Was either going to buy these or the new Logitech G Pro X 2 headset.

Pros:

- Amazing battery life.
- Microphone is the best on any headset I have used. All the people that I play online with through Discord agree it is brilliant, it just sounds like you are sitting in the room next to someone talking to them normally. Perfect clarity.
- Great sound quality, with many customizable options for the audio, and for mic settings too.
- Easy to use Razer software.

Cons:

- None so far.

Totally stoked with them, would recommend to anyone who is after a class leading microphone and very good overall audio.

Fantastic audio clarity. Removable mic means you can use just for music/movies with high quality sound or use for voice comms in gaming etc. Light weight, comfortable, well worth the price. The battery life (at least at time of purchase) is excellent.
It is comfortable to ware and (so far) I believe the ear puffs wont fall apart under UV as easily as some others.

CONS:
The software/firmware for (Win/iOS) is both bloated, over engineered, and phone home-ware , yet its the only way to enable THX spatial audio mode, as no physical button exists on the headset to enable it.
The programming of the four equalizer modes which IS physically switchable, again requires this software. So it doesn't help me much as Linux i...view more PROS:

But my main gripe is.. The Mic is kinda big! it always gets in the way! Regardless of how you maneuver it. It takes time to get used to or at least accept, ... It is detachable as a 3.5mm jack but that could cause ware and tear over time.

SUMMERY:
I miss the retraction or articulation of previous headsets, and this headset makes at least for me, that loss , quite pronounced. But other than that.... It does the job it was designed to do... and doe's it well!

My son has a long time wanted a great headset that preformed well in all areas of gaming. The performance of this headset is definitely up to the task. Comfortable fit & great microphone, durable with great wireless connection. Long lasting battery with good sound audio, the best headset he has ever had is my teens response.
