I had a need to get noise cancelling headphones because I'd shifted back to working at home next to my producer partner who spends much of her time talking to people. Not good for programming. Problem is that I really don't like active NC headphones because I invariably can hear the buzz. But passive sometimes just isn't enough. I want to drop the outside world down to the point that I can hear voices - but have to concentrate to hear what people are saying. These ones do all of that.

Comfortable to wear. So far the spring weather hasn't been too hot. But the inside temperature went up to 27C with some spring weather. No ANC buzz that I can hear. Music is great. So are the google meet calls and occasional phone calls. Works well with both workstation and phone connected. Range is ample for my needs. The cost is exorbitant. But it delivered exactly what I needed for my work.

Purchased a 2nd pair of these as a gift, knowing they are quality headphones.

Been happy with mine for the last 2 years, and the receiver of the gift loves them so far.

I’ve converted from in ear beats buds and these over ears are chefs kiss!

I brought these to give my in ear buds a break but they are so soft I can wear them for a whole day of work (9 hrs) comfortably despite having pretty large ears. It’s not tight fit wise and does not have any pressure or discomfort after a few hours which is a bonus.
I’ve even had a nap or two in em cos noise cancelling & they are so cozy.

To be fair I did weigh up against the Bose and XM4 but I have no regrets about my purchase considering I also brought these on sale lol. The case is abit bulkier then I’d like for travel purposes but I can over look this considering all the positives and pink is my favorite color lol.

I considered other brands like Bose and Sennheiser, but eventually settled on the Sony WH-1000XM5. I'm really impressed with these! Sound quality is excellent, they fit comfortably, the noise cancelation is the best I've ever had, and the touch controls work seamlessly. Also, the app is super useful for playing with equalizers. I've turned the AI assistants off so I can't really comment on that. Multi-point connection works great, I tested it out just for this review. One thing I've noticed that is a little yucky is how grease and sweat shows up so well on the earcups. They'll be covered in finger prints after each use. Not an issue, just something I noticed. In case you need total clarification, YES, the sound quality is amaaaaazing! So worth it! I'm especially enjoying the punchy bass. I was content with my previous pair of headphones, almost decided to just stick with them, but after getting the Sony WH-1000XM5s, I realize I was missing out! This is QUALITY. 10/10 headphones, I love them!

The sound quality is excellent, and the ANC works well, however there is no charger in the box and my phone charger is not powerful enough to wake the battery up if it goes to 0.

Nice headphones and some good features but significantly less comfortable than the CH720s. The cushions are slimmer so they press onto my ears and the headband really presses them together so after a while they feel like the are squashing your head.

Have had these for a couple of years. If they are only connected to one device they work quite well. If you want to flick between devices it becomes very problematic and would take a bit of mucking around to get it to work. Also had people telling me that they got a lot of echoing when I was on a call using them. The noise cancelling is awesome though. Have had these for a couple of years. Has the same quality as the XM4s when powered on. But using the XM5 with the wire powered off sounds terrible, you need to have it powered on for proper sound.
