Grandstream GWN7665 (AXE5400) Tri-Band 6-Stream Wi-Fi 6E Access Point with 2.5GbE x1, 1GbE x1 (PoE+ 23W)

I have two of these and generally they're great. Amazing value with a great amount of features available. Throughput is superb on an untagged SSID, however, I have a VLAN tagged SSID for my IOT devices. This presents a problem and something I have logged with Grandstream. Initially I noticed IPv6 simply didnt work, or partially worked. That was logged with Grandstream and they provided a patched firmware to me. Through put was still lower than the untagged SSID but was more than enough at approx 500Mbps (I basically get line speed on the non tagged SSID). Its only this scenario - works on the same SSID, works from ethernet to the device (which is wireless only) its just traversing non tagged to tagged. I've logged this too but not had a response (its been about a month waiting at the time of writing). To be clear - IPv4 is completely unaffected.

If you're not using VLAN tagging on SSIDs - this is simply fantastic. If you are, be aware of the current limitations (and hence the 4* review). They're not complete show stoppers (I just force IPv4 for the SSH connection for now) but they're a bit annoying. I would still purchase again.

I was looking for a self managed AP with WiFi-6 speed and a decent range, this does the job. I like that I don't need a PC or cloud-login to manage it (although there are options to do so if that's ever desirable). The defaults make it easy to get going. It can centrally manage/configure additional Grandstream AP's should I want to cover any weak spots. It's a bit bigger than some of the other Grandstream AP's, but I've installed it on the ceiling of a central infrastructure-cupboard, that probably compromises the range, but made for easy/invisible installation. The Grandstream access points are controllable from an online portal if you wish to have remote management capabilities. The setup is very intuitive allowing you to easy add additional access points to a network profile.
