Edifier HECATE G4K Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

A very nice keyboard for the price. You get 2.4Ghz, BT and USB C. It's very handy if you have multiple devices to switch between. Has a very solid (~1kg) feel when using it. Keycaps are PBT and shine-through, which is a rare combination (even in Keychrons). Has two levels of feet to suit your liking, but I recommend using a wrist rest (any flat piece of wood would do) as it is pretty thick. Feels very premium, the volume dial feels solid and it looks a lot more expensive for the price you pay.

However, didn't quite like the red switches that it came with. The force curve starts from about 40gms and bottoms out around 60gms. Even though the key presses get registered long before you bottom out, you end up pressing them until you get the bottom out feedback/sound. As you require a lot more to bottom out than the starting point, your fingers and forearms get pretty tired quickly during long typing sessions. And you end up making a lot of typing errors.

For gaming, this wouldn't be a problem. But if your primary use is typing, then I recommend replacing the switches with some tactile ones.

Also, not a big deal but in USB mode, the power switch doesn't seem to do anything - it just powers on when you turn on the PC (which I actually like - not sure if intentionally designed like that though).

I have owned this keyboard for over 2 months and have enjoyed it greatly. The backlight is a fun customisation and the various effects it has is a delight.
The feel and typing is a good experience. It did require me to learn to hold my wrists up until I got a wrist rest. The height of the keyboard was taller than what I was used to. Since getting a rest, I haven't had any issues with cramping or prolonged sessions of use.

The battery lasts a long time and is easy enough to charge. Weight is good and easy to have on your lap or whatever your wireless need is. I've had this keyboard for just over a year now and it's now my favourite. Keys feel strong to the press and they aren't loud or clicky, wireless battery life seems to go on and on. RGB wise it's crisp and visible at night but not too bright, I set it to blue when I got it and haven't changed since. High recommended. I have owned my G4k for four weeks.
The features are great but the keyboard backlighting turns off randomly and requires power off/on to get it back again. I found this applied to both bluetooth and wired connection. Going dark is not a happy time. For that reason alone I don't not recommend to anyone else.

The mechanical keys are a nightmare if you are used to using a laptop. I have owned my G4k for four weeks.
