Logitech MK235 Wireless Desktop Keyboard & Mouse Combo

Firstly I must confess that I am not the best person to review wireless keyboards as all of them seem to have a degree of lag when subjected to heavy use, so most of my keyboards are the wired variety. This said I needed a wireless keyboard for an area that I can't use a wired keyboard so was prepared to accept any lag. I have several low budget wired keyboards from both Logitech and Microsoft and they all work flawlessly so decided to go with this keyboard. The keyboard itself is fine, connects without problem and would be fine except they have added a very aggressive sleep mode to save battery life. This would be great except it keeps putting the keyboard to sleep, you type and it misses the first ten seconds worth of typing while it reconnects. This means constantly having to go back and retype sentences. I used this product for one day and since it has sat in its box in storage as unusable. I have since bought a Logitech MK850 that works well. I have made the discovery that if you want a cheap keyboard either go wired or a different brand, otherwise you won't regret spending the extra on a better keyboard.

After unpacking only I found that there are NO, Caps Lock, Num pad Lock, and Scroll lock indicator LEDs in the keyboard. Which is a bit unsatisfactory. I didn't care to check it before purchasing because this is the first time I ever saw a Keyboard without those indicator LEDs.
Other than that both mouse and KB works normally. After unpacking only I found that there are NO, Caps Lock, Num pad Lock, and Scroll lock indicator LEDs in the keyboard. Signal is too weak and drops out too often. When left Inactive, goes into sleep mode then takes up to 2 minutes to reconnect. Not worth the effort and a complete waste of money. It's doing the job so far, but I don't like the bouncy fat keys. Most keyboards (except retro mechanical expensive ones) have moves away from the large key/actions.

These have a lot of movement and I was hoping for a tighter lower profile action. The pictures don't really give away the keyboard has the older style bouncy rubber underlay effect.

Mouse is OK, but feels a bit light and flimsy. I was also disappointed these are NOT black but a grey colour. Doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere in the details. I got this combo set previously (about 2yrs ago), and needed a replacement due to fairly constant use. The replacement keyboard and mouse are smaller, made of flimsier material, and overall not as functional. Still a good set, and reasonable at the price, but definitely an unexpected downgrade. To be clear, the primary product display photo on the website (as of 16/05/24) is of the early version.
