Features
The Blohm & Voss BV 222 Wiking (Pronounced "Viking") was a large, six-engined German flying boat of World War II. Originally designed as a commercial transport, it was the largest seaplane to attain production status during the war.
It had a Wingspan of 46 meters and a range of 7000 km. It was developed as an air-transport flying boat for the German Lufthansa. Non-stop flights between Germany and the US were planned carrying between 16 and 24 passengers at a take-off weight around 45 tons.
