I was trying to add 8GB of memory for my PC to speed it up. The helpful and knowledgeable PB assistant informed me that the memory type I was trying to buy was now obsolete. He suggested that instead of buying one new memory stick which would probably not play nicely with the old one, I would be better to buy a matched pair of modern memory sticks which were rated to run faster as well. It cost a little more than I was hoping, but it made a real difference to the computer which was suffering from operating system bloat. Wife's 12th gen Intel box was struggling post Win11 upgrade. Partially because Windows eats RAM like a fat kid at an all you can eat ice cream buffet, partially because Chrome is no better and my wife refuses to ever close a tab. Looks clean inside my build, low profile, I didn't want ram sticks with weird shapes, colour's and sticky outy bits, and this is totally was what I was after.

Speeds are good, xmp turned on.

I brought this ram set because I am a video editor and my computer for some reason does not like going into xmp settings every time I move video files across some of them get slightly corrupted, by changing to this setup with two sticks of ram instead of 4 as well as its base speed is a bit faster I have solved my issue.
