If you have many online accounts that need multi-factor authentication, then this physical key works well to make life easier.
It comes with a desktop and a mobile App.
I bought it so that if I lose my mobile phone, I am not totally lost and can still authenticate to many essential accounts.
The only limitation is that there are still quite a few online services that only allow for MFA via mobile SMS or App and do not work with physical keys.

A good backup to the original 5Ci I purchased as a primary device. This compliments the 5Ci perfectly with USB 2 and NFC. Your second Yubikey is always a lot easier to set up. Easy to set up and use, especially for things like Google accounts that support U2F (would be great if everything supported U2F but alas, it's not the case)
There's also Yubico Authenticator for storing codes for any service that doesn't support U2F.

I think it will be quite useful to many, but in my case, as I can't use this device on all of my devices, it's kind of nullified its usefulness. My iPad pro for instance can't work with it and since I needed the 2-factor authentication to work across all of my devices I can't say it's been worth the expense. But it's useful if you work with phones and PCs, that's for sure, and where it works, it's quite effective to protect yourself. Saves so much time. Works fine. Make sure to configure the app properly. Try changing NFC settings so NFC's "default app" is whatever is currently being used.
