Well this is simply not reading the instructions or taking the time to look at the arm itself.

You can adjust the gas sprung part of the arm using an Allen Key at the base of the gas strut, located on the middle joint of the arm.

However, after adjustment, it is absolutely perfect.

Took me a while to figure out that lighter monitors need less tension or force, and which direction I should turn the key wrench to achieve this. I ended up using the lightest setting even though my monitor is 34”. Tells you how much this arm can carry on the strongest setting.

The other reason is you don’t have an option to remove the cables for audio, mic, and usb for the interface at the base of the arm. Probably very subjective since other users would need this. I just didn’t need it for my setup and would have been neat if it was modular and can remove it instead of it hanging there, which adds another few cables to manage and hide.

Overall, great buy and would highly recommend this

I bought this mount because it popped up with the "frequently bought together" option with the ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 27" monitor... It unfortunately isn't very well suited from my experience... Please note however, that the product on it's own is a solid item and if it wasn't for the incompatibility with my specific monitor, this would be perfectly fine.

The mount CANNOT hold the rotated portrait position due to the monitor design and the swivel on the mount CANNOT be tightened without taking off the monitor from mount and even then, if you turn it around a few times the whole thing comes loose again...

Please bear this in mind with your purchase

Seems to work well - was a little TOO robust for a smaller monitor, had to weigh it down slightly to stop it rising to the top even at minimum weight adjustment. For a bigger screen though it is perfection. Love the extra ports. Holds my 49" Philips ultrawide perfectly, no sag has been noticed on the monitor tilt and the gas lift holds the weight well in all positions. The only Issue (in my case) is when you use all USB ports, a DP and an HDMI the cables need to be managed/tied properly in order to get the plastic covers to stay on the arm. I have this holding my 43" monitor and it works perfectly (had to get a 100 to 200 visa adapter). It stays where you move it to and does what it should no complaints here. So I was a bit concerned that I'd just bought and assembled an inappropriate stand. But loosening the nut that the instructions say to loosen for lighter monitors, it hasn't moved. So... loosen the nut until it works for you (but maybe don't get this particular stand if your monitor is 6Kg.

Cons: • One review said they broke the plastic for the cable management. Knowing that I have been very careful and have not broken it, but the plastic used does have a brittle feel and slightly awkward method of attachment. Just be careful with it.
• The thing I found disappointing is the method of attachment to the monitor is cumbersome. A good method would be a detachable VESA mount so you can screw that to the monitor then attach the mount to the arm. A bad way - and the way this arm does, is you have to hold the monitor in place while screwing the 4 screws of the mount to the back of the monitor. Or, as I did you can detach the mount part from the first joint in the arm. Still awkward. I have a somewhat cheaper arm for my other monitor that just has a detachable VESA mount. It's this, that makes me give it four stars. You can work around it, and it's not a big deal, but, it's not befitting of a arm that has the word "Premium" in the name.
I still like the stand though.

I have 2 of them, if your monitor is quite heavy you can arrange the height as you wish but if the monitor is not so heavy (e.g.Samsung Odyssey G5 34" Ultrawide QHD) the spring will not maintain the height you need. I was not expecting the brilliance of this product. Being my first monitor stand I have ever bought, it works great. I checked the maximum weight it supports for a 34" monitor. And it supports the monitor perfectly, as the stand is not needed the monitor becomes lighter.

The mount fulfils its purpose of holding my screen and providing a clean environment. Moreover, it provides a USB port that allows for easier access to a USB hub (if your desktop is on the ground). Fully extended, it put a lot of stress on the edge of my old desk, so we had to drill into the desk and reinforce it underneath. Very happy with the result.
