This is great for kids to play on, it's really different to anything else and so much fun for all ages. For kids I would buy this one, rather than the 3 which is twice the price. The Meta Quest 3S is a solid first purchase into VR. It’s reasonably priced and delivers impressive performance for what you pay. I mainly use it to watch movies, and it really gives that big-screen cinema feel, which has been awesome.

That said, battery life is on the shorter side. I’d recommend grabbing a battery pack or a link cable. I use the Kiwi Design Link Cable for Meta/Oculus Quest—it doesn’t keep the headset fully charged while in use, but it extends playtime from around 1.5 hours to 3–5 hours depending on what you're doing.

Air Link also works surprisingly well if you’re close to your router and using 5GHz.

I had bought this with my own money and have been wanting a vr headset for years, after you get used to the screen, your guaranteed you won't have any problems, the only issue I have with it is that when I breath out my nose it fogs up the lenses but that can be fixed by breathing out your mouth or buying a facial cover. Great overall and perfect gift for any tech lover. Battery life is good and you have probably heard that the default strap is terrible, but it isn't that bad I find it comfortable but that's my opinion not yours. I'm new to VR, but the META Quest 3s has been amazing and exceeded all of my expectations. Easy to use and fits great. The range of games on it are great and enjoy being able to cast it to TV's, still yet to hook it up to my computer but look forward to it.
