This laptop does everything you'd expect it to do well enough to be throughly unremarkable in its performace.

My daughter needed a laptop for her design course, it's a great option with everything she needed at an affordable price, a tad heavy but for the budget a small sacrifice! Excellent help fro the sales person inshore taking us through the trade offs for the budget and what the non negotiable were. Since day 2 I have been constantly battling with reboots while working on the notebook in a stable environment, stable power etc. I've been in Whatsapp chat with HP support for well over a week now, doing numerous support tests: still the machine reboots almost daily. Aside from the reboots, the sound is pretty disappointing, and I'm not a fan of the malformed lettering on the keyboard. Aside from that, all is OK. The RTX 3050 is fine as it is capable of helping me out in Blender animation and gaming, although a corrupted AMD driver caused frequent screen freezes and black screens, and unwanted restarts, which forced me to reinstall Windows. The keyboard felt nice, and the touchpad is also satisfying to click; the 144Hz screen refresh rate is also smooth and a massive change compared to the 60Hz one. There is currently no overheating issue, and the fan is also quiet.
