My old LG monitor was experiencing problem where it flicks on for a split second then dark again for a couple seconds and repeats. Tested with new power supply from another LG monitor solved this, simply swap out the old one with this and been fine for weeks. We have two near-identical LG monitors and one started occasionally having the flickering problem described by user RexW6. Initially we'd be able to turn it off and on again a few times and it would fix itself, but it gradually got more and more persistent. A replacement HDMI cable didn't fix it, so just before we were about to throw out the faulty monitor, we decided to swap the power adapters around to see if it made any difference, and lo and behold, the problem went away. Now that we've replaced the adapter permanently with a new one, it has solved the problem as expected. Somehow didn't realize it came with out the power cable. Bought for 52 bucks but now on special and I could have bought both instead of taking my sister's clover cable for her laptop.
