Just a note for NZ fibre users
I'm on Spark, and initially it wouldn't work when I plugged it into the wall thing and set PPPoE, user@spark etc. You also need to turn on VLAN under advanced settings in the app, and there is literally a NZ UFB option in there.
Other than that, setup was real easy and my coverage is great :)
Works Great
130sqm of house and 700sqm section and have near complete coverage. Speed drops out a bit on the edges but still more than serviceable. No regrets purchasing yet.
Fast WiFi and Fast Setup
We've used the TP-Link Deco M5 mesh for over 2 years so were familiar with the app and setup. We needed to upgrade as more of our devices run WiFi 6 AX protocol. Bought this Deco X55 and used the Ethernet wiring in the house as backhaul. Wow! Now getting >800 mpbs Internet speeed in most living spaces on newer phones. Used the spare M5 units to extend coverage to the granny flat and a spare room. Very fast and even the free version of the Homeshield app offers basic parental controls and network management. Has 3 Ethernet ports which us great. Only con is it could have 4 or more ports on one unit that us used as the master. However very...view more

Excellent connection, great IoT features, 300mbps connection
If you’re looking for a mesh network to balance the needs of the 4-6 bedroom house and budget friendly; this is excellent. Stable connection, good balanced load on network, built-in IoT config. I wish I could set certain devices to be priority (you get this with gaming routers using TP-Link’s Tether app). I have a 950Mbps connection and I only get 300Mbps through put plugged directly into chorus’s ONT - sadly I’ll have to return it.
Deco are such a straight forward solution

Excellent product for regular people
We’re regular people with normal computer knowledge and the Deco products are perfect for us, in that they provide quick wifi over several levels of our property.
Our original pack lasted 4 years and they only failed due to one getting wet. We purchased the new pack 4 weeks ago and we’ve had 4 blissful weeks of a teenager playing Fortnite, in the most remote part of the house, without a single wifi issue/meltdown.
Switching brands wasn’t considered because our experience has been so good. The upgrade was expensive (for us) but worth it because while the older pack was fine, this one blows it away with coverage and speed.
