I have this connected to a PoE network switch in my garage to allow me to use hard wired PoE security cameras mounted to the garage and connect them over WiFi to my NVR in the house. Works flawlessly with x3 4k cameras. We got this extender for the garage and it works well. Not only boosts the wifi signal but the Ethernet connection is perfect for the laptop.

this device is my go-to for my personal and professional lives, it's so easy to setup (the Tether app is great) which appeals to a variety of end users. I use mine with ethernet (so disabled 2.4g (personal preference) so also a great option if needed
A quick cheat sheet comes in the box for guidance, but it really is plug, enter primary access details, then play.
Browser access via tplinkrepeater.net is also worth cruising through for tweaks.

Definately a good addition to the home and office. I can now get stable connections and really good speeds with and without an ethernet cable connected to it. Just follow the instructions and set up via the app. It does need to be somewhere in between the location of no wifi and wifi signal though so keep that in mind Definately a good addition to the home and office. A breeze to set up, I let my son do it following along to make sure he was doing it properly. Works really well - very happy with it - glad it has the ability to set a timer and turn off the nightlight. We purchased this to replace our 5 years old WiFi extender. There were good reviews out there, but this particular item we got would disconnect from router on a daily baisis, we always have to restart it for a better connection or reconnect. The reviews were what made me purchase this product, but wow what a heap of garbage! Since day 1 this has caused trouble and I have just submitted a returns request as I am tired of it not working properly. Out of the box the WPS failed to work. After 3 attempts (all conducted as per the manual) it connected of sorts, but not all networks had been connected and there were some odd behaviours after this. So, I reset and then manually set it up. This seemed to go well but then the extended networks didnt have any internet connection. So I reset it for a third time and all seemed to be well, for the first 24 hrs. Then the 5.0G extended network dropped internet connection and wouldnt hold it for more than 10mins. To reset this it requires a constant power on/power off cycle to be done and still doesnt hold the connection after this. It should be much much better than this, but this is rubbish.
