We bought two RE 450 Range extenders to extend the poor coverage our generic ISP provided out from our home into our garden... my wife is addicted to podcasts. It works perfectly with total coverage... perhaps 60 metres in total. A minor hiccup in setup of the first unit which quickly resolved itself, and didn't happen at all with the second unit. I have had them running a couple of weeks. We thought good value. We just recently bought a new house and the fibre is installed in the lounge which is the furthest point from my gaming room. Since the house is old (no cat 6e Jack's from router to bedrooms) I had bad speeds in my pc gaming room which was on the other side of the house using wifi.
I prefer a wired connection but just couldn't be bothered getting under to house to run a cable.
Buying this made my games room pc have good enough download speeds and now I am satisfied.

Side note wifi is much slower than a wired connection so dont expect you will achieve the advertised download speeds. Would only reccomend if you can get the tp link extender close enough to the area you want better speeds in. Less than 5m if it's a problem area.

Easy to set up, took less than 10 minutes including the time I spent fluffing around with the router. Once set up, it works exactly as advertised. The dual band is great too, because I can set up 2.4 and 5 GHz and then forget about it.

Only downside of this model is it's phyiscally large and can block other powerpoints, depending on the configuration. Top-link should redesign it's shape, when plug in to top of the double outlet power point, The bottom power outlet is block by it's bulky shape, if plug in the bottom outlet, then the top one totally block. Other then that the re450 works perfectly. Excellent product. I was told by staff the 5G signal coverage is less than the 2.4G. I was able to setup both the 2.4G and 5G at the same time. Easy to setup, and has a great signal range. This product extends your existing network signal so you don't have to add a new device. Love how you can just set it up once, then plug it any power outlet within the signal range of the modem. Definately a good addition to the home and office. I can now get stable connections and really good speeds with and without an ethernet cable connected to it. Just follow the instructions and set up via the app. It does need to be somewhere in between the location of no wifi and wifi signal though so keep that in mind Definately a good addition to the home and office. A breeze to set up, I let my son do it following along to make sure he was doing it properly. Works really well - very happy with it - glad it has the ability to set a timer and turn off the nightlight. We purchased this to replace our 5 years old WiFi extender. There were good reviews out there, but this particular item we got would disconnect from router on a daily baisis, we always have to restart it for a better connection or reconnect.
