Im not willing to say a mouse pad made me better at call of duty but it certainly isnt a hinderance in any way. I use a hero g logitec mouse and the behaviour vs a normal mouse pad is noticable in smooth flight. I've been using my g502 directly on my desk for years, recently g402 also, with good success. However I recently heard that a mouse pad could actually help with the laser sensor performance. I thought that sounded a bit like a myth, but at the price of this mouse pad I thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

The immediate thing I noticed is how the mouse just skates across this textured pad like ice. The mouse glides very smoothly and I am loving this feeling more and more. For that effect alone it's now worth it to me. I won't be going back to straight desk.

You definitely get the feeling mouse sensitivity has increased. It feels razor sharp. I had to adjust my mouse DPI down a bit to get back to what I'm used to. This lines up with other people's reviews of hard pads.
I'm a fairly heavy COD player and this pad is definitely an asset.
FYI the pad is 3mm thick, not 1mm advertised. The edges don't dig into my wrist or arm whatsoever. Looks well made and definitely far better value than the other options. I don't know why you'd choose anything else tbh, as can't imagine the more expensive pads do anything different. Size would be the only reason to pay extra imo, but this thing is plenty big.
