If you read their reviews, no one can connect their petkit with wifi.
They're using bots to make reviews.
I wish I searched it up before buying. It doesn't work at all and this is most people's experience with it.

EDIT: Everyone on their reddit has different "workarounds" to make it work. None of their workarounds worked for me, but somehow after five hours of frustration, found my workaround.

I don't have an agenda, look at their website and reviews (and their subreddit)- their top 15 or so most upvoted reviews are all people clamouring that their products are not functioning out of the box.

This is great. The app is very user-friendly too. I got the Dark Grey instead of the white one as it is see-through and can easily spot if the food levels are low without opening the lid, so the food stays fresh for longer. This is great. It was time for an upgrade of our feeder and this one worked really well while we were away for 7 days. We still had someone checking in on our 2 cats but the feeder did everything it said and the app works well. Very pleased with our purchase. Be sure to update the firmware before setting up automated feeding times. Works great, took the cat 3 days to get used to it and now it knows where his food is.

The most important thing is it doesn't need Internet connection to operate, as the feeding schedule is stored in the device and not in the app/cloud. They could've use a USB-C connector so a standard cable can be used.

I have a very demanding, very vocal Siamese/Rex cross cat. With free feeding she became obese, with timed feedings she would vomit as she ate too much too fast. She needed measured feedings throughout the day. SOLO solved it. She gets seven small feedings a day. She is at a perfect weight, she doesn’t pester me constantly for food, and it’s so easy! It took a little to set up with the signal but once done, it has worked very well. It's easy to use the app on my phone, I can have set timing and add an extra meal if we are going to be late home. Bought this to help even out the calorie intake of our nursing dog, to keep her going through the day, works great. The max portion sizes are small and it only holds a few days worth of food for our medium sized dog but there are easy work arounds. The machine communicates well, I receive notifications when food has been dispensed and when it is low. It is working really well for us. We purchased this Petkit Fresh Element with the intention of using it to feed our cat while we are away in the weekends. It has exceeded our expectations!

It easily connects up to Home Assistant and we can feed the cat from there. I also installed an ESP32-Cam camera above it so that we can see if the cat has eaten its food or needs more etc.

Constantly going offline. Unable to see if it has actually dispensed anything until it decides to reconnect. Very frustrating. Tried to reset the feeder and now cant connect at all.
