Good printer for the price, but it wasn't clear at time of purchase that it prints A3, but the screen for scanning only takes A4 size. Can also only print one A3 page at a time, which isn't ideal. We needed a A3/A4 printer after retiring. Cheap, easy to install etc Only downfall would be you have to physically change paper for each size, it only has one tray. Bought this for home office. Quality for printing is good. Printing speed is standard.

This is a great model for a small home office. It has a relatively small footprint, but is still able to print on anything from a 6x4 photo to an A3 sheet of paper. Printing is fast, as is scanning, and it works over the network from windows, mac, or linux. There's also a Fax feature but does anyone still use that these days? Not me, certainly.
The auto-alignment feature is really good - print out a sheet, scan it, and then the printer correctly adjusts the print heads itself! No more trying to work it out yourself with a magnifying glass.
The ink cartridges are a bit expensive but aren't they always? 3rd-party ones can save you most of...view more This is a great model for a small home office. A bit annoying in that the whole printing feature disables itself if even one cartridge is out of ink - so if your magenta runs out you can't continue to print in black and white. At least the scanner continues to work though.
Overall one of the best MFD options currently for home office use.

Early days but very happy with this colour printer. Easy set up. Super quick printing and good quality colour prints. Also impressed with the cardborad packaging - no polystyrene - well done Brother! Great compact printer/scanner with A3 print option. I had the earlier model of this printer as well for many years and it only needed replacing because of user error.
A3 only prints one page at a time with this model, so if you do a lot of A3 printing it would be worth getting the bigger version of this printer. Great compact printer/scanner with A3 print option. I have had my new Brother only a few short weeks and so have yet to find out how well it performs in all areas, however printing is a dream; quick, easy and the results are very pleasing. Wireless is a boon too. Since this machine replaces a very old Canon MP960, it is enjoyable being able to have the advantages of a modern printer. Based on my experience thus far, I would certainly recommend it to others and Consumer Institute does too. My wife and I both wanted A3 print option, wish we had sooner. The printer set up on wifi easy, and sits in the spare room out of the way. It's pretty big! Our multiple pc's were set to the new default printer in seconds. Printing from the app on android is also a breeze. My wife and I both wanted A3 print option, wish we had sooner.
