Canon SELPHY CP1500 PHOTO Printer - Black

Things that will go wrong, or appear to be going wrong:

* Windows reports "Driver not available" after installing the printer. Ignore that, it works anyway. Don't bother searching for drivers, Canon don't provide any.
* The standard 6x4 photo size is for some reason called "Japanese postcard" when you click print.
* It wouldn't connect to our home WiFi, with no useful error message. As there doesn't appear to be a way to print from a PC over WiFi, I'm not sure this is needed anyway.
* I couldn't get it to print JPEGs from a USB flash drive (it notices you've plugged it in, then reports "no images found"). Probably an SD card out of ...view more Things that will go wrong, or appear to be going wrong:

Things you might also need to know:

* A USB cable is not included. The printer has a USB-C port, prepare accordingly.
* No ink/paper is included (not even a sample pack). Make sure you buy some.

Once you ignore the errors and just attempt to print anyway, it works absolutely fine from a PC. Printing from a phone over WiFi direct also worked fine, just install the app and scan the QR code.

As I was replacing a dead older-model CP910 and had a pile of consumables (which are still compatible) this was an obvious choice, but it wasn't the smoothest process.

I bought one for work after reading all the reviews, and havn't been dissapointed!!! The print quality is cool, but way better than when I get prints done at the big stores!!! Love how when it prints it does each colour layer seperately, fun to watch, great quality prints, and so small and lightweight!
