Oki C650dn Colour LED Laser Printer

Excellent printer and highly recommend for great print quality, and very fast. This replaced my old A4 colour laser printer, and I wasn't too sure about going the LED printer route but have no regrets! Also this has the highest print count for factory toner of any printer I looked at...you need to consider this when comparing to understand the value for money... Doesn't take that much space, prints on up to 250gsm card, took a bit to set up and a tad noisy which is expected for a laser printer but overall very happy with it. Had it for a few weeks now, almost printed 100 pages including design stuff and word documents. Nice and clear printing as long as the source is clear.

Cons
- If you want it to have wifi, you need to import a wifi module from Australia (its plug in on the side) but you can network it
- If you want a scanner, there isn't one
- Updating firmware requires a password
- Software can be hard to understand (errors can be cut off in a small box, when updating)
- When there is a error, it shows a random error on the little LCD then prints the error
- Manual is online, its easy to use but would be great to have a offline copy in box.

So quick to set up and keeps the standard that Oki has set. Good colour and very easy to use. Warning though, it is a very heavy printer so have a permanent space set up for when it arrives. This OKI printer is a good size and price for a small office setup. We took this out the box and expected to be able to print some graphic design images nicely onto quality paper but the colour changed across the page with large streaks down the page. The sides of the paper were faded a lot. We tried all sorts of paper and different settings and took the printer back. PB tech have had the printer a week and we are yet to find out if they will refund us. Awesome printer, has revolutionsed my office. I agree it would be better with WiFi but as it sits right next to my laptop it is no issue. Prints beautifully and super fast, first time, everytime. One thing to watch out for I didn't realize is if you are picking up park close to the store as it weighs a ton you don't want to be staggering up the road panting for breath like I was. A great colour LED (better than laser) printer. No it's not a multifunction printer (did the one star reviewer not check what they were buying). It's a wired network colour printer. Just connect it to your wireless router with a network cable if you want wireless printing. The output quality and speed are very good. You can print duplex and collate. It also has a multifunction tray that allows you to print on labels or thick card > 240gsm. It's very hard to find a good printer that can take such heavy paper/card weight.
