I wouldn't choose these if you're looking to shake the house down, but if you just want a good set of speakers for reasonable volume with great dynamic range (strong bass and crisp treble) these fit the bill perfectly. Nice having a proper 5m cable between them too, rather than poking speaker wire into a connector. Highly recommended!

An upgrade over R1700BT
I’ve used the R1700BT for over 5 years, and when I saw the R2000DB during an audio sale, I decided to give them a try based on positive online reviews. These speakers definitely feel like an upgrade over the R1700BT, although you won’t miss out much if you get/have R1700BT. The optical output provides better audio quality than the aux cables, but I did encounter popping noise every time audio started or stopped. Fortunately, this turned out to be a Windows issue that can be fixed by disabling unused audio devices in the device manager and restarting the PC.
