Innovative thermal architecture

Area-51 delivers our best thermal strategy yet, combining a new airflow approach, larger diameter fans and expansive liquid cooling options. This allows the most demanding components to flourish while keep the system exceptionally quiet. At full speed, processors can run up to 13% cooler. During marathon gaming, Area-51 can deliver up to 50% more processing power, with up to 2.4%, lower graphics temperatures, while running up to 45% quieter than any Alienware desktop from the past three years.

Positive pressure airflow
Our patent-pending pressurised architecture delivers 25% more airflow while minimising resistance for improved acoustics. Area-51 includes dual 140mm bottom fans, dual 180mm front fans, and up to three 120mm top fans.
All fans intake and blow cool air inward - from the front, top and bottom - creating positive air pressure that forces hot air out the back, cooling components efficiently.

Scalable CPU liquid cooling
Using industry standard technology, Area-51 offers two all-in-one liquid cooling options - 240mm or 360mm - with a top mount that supports up to a 420mm heat exchanger.
Designed to be accessible and scalable with whisper-quiet operation, these cooling options integrate AlienFX lighting to create visually striking lighting zones. The 360mm option showcases an illuminated Alien head and light ring, while the 240mm option features a single ring lighting zone.

Industry standard ATX motherboard

The Alienware-exclusive motherboard features custom-designed heatsinks to optimise thermal management. Designed solely for Area-51, it supports up to 1500W ATX12VO Platinum-rated power supplies and features industry standard slots for easy system updates.
