Get extra value out of your old device
If it’s eligible for trade-in, your old device could earn you an account credit that you can put towards a new device or other purchase. The amount you will receive as a credit will depend on the models and whether or not they're in good working order. The minimum amount of devices organisations need to have to use this trade-in offer is 20 devices.
Here are the steps to trade-in your old device
- Provide a rough description of items, or just “I have a bunch of stuff to be collected” is also OK – note: we need the freight volume as well
- If you have a full catalogue of items we then pass it to our trade-in team when we contact you, and they will give you an estimate of value before we proceed
- If you do not have a full list then we just proceed and do the cataloguing at our premises
- Ideally you will prepare the goods for courier collection, but if you need us to come on-site to do this we can (see 10a)
- We then arrange a courier to collect the goods and take them to our nearest centre (10b)
- We then catalogue the goods
- We then wipe the data from the devices that require this with a military-grade Blancco solution and give you a certificate of data destruction (10c)
- We arrange for our e-waste partner to collect the goods that cannot be reused, and they send us certification of environmentally friendly disposal (10d)
- We then value the trade-in devices for us purchasing these from you (10e)
- We give you a statement of finances showing:
- Cost of labour to package onsite
- Cost of courier and collection
- Cost of data destruction
- Cost of e-waste
- Value of trade-in devices as offset to these costs
- We then issue you a credit if E is larger than A+B+C+D, or an invoice if not
