I've had a Dell laptop dock for nine years, but it wouldn't power my new Linux laptop and wouldn't drive the 4K monitor at 60Hz, even though it did both these things for my old XPS13. I've had it a month or so and use it to charge a Powerbook to a Phone. I've been getting about 880mA reading the output to my phone, so charging seems good. (About what I get out of a standard 65w laptop charger). I can't speak about efficiency as I don't currently have a meter to measure power input, but it's rated at 1.5A max on the compliance label. I got this charger as I needed something for a wide array of PC and Mac devices. For something like a Dell laptop etc it works fine, but on all the Apple devices I've tried, both Intel based and Apple silicon, it will keep waking the device up as if it resets every half hour so not recommended for Apple.
