Cruxtec 15m HDMI 8K Active Optical Cable

Using this 15m cable to connect my PC to my TV, the cable will not allow any higher then 4K@60Hz 8-bit connection, even that is flaky though. The PC and TV hardware support higher bandwidth connection, e.g. 4K@120Hz 10-bit. This is the second time I have been burned by Cruxtec brand cables. I will never buy their products again.

No pros with this product. Expensive and doesn't work as advertised.

I needed this cable to run through the wall and for it to be the best of all the HDMI standards. Most cables don't have HDCP2.3. This cable works perfectly on a unique long-distance setup running an amplifier to a 4k projector. The clarity from this HDMI cable is amazing compared to inferior copper cables, especially when running it at 20 metres. Be very careful with this cable as it is very thin, and ensure you run it the correct way (Source - device outputting video) / Display (TV/projector) I needed this cable to run through the wall and for it to be the best of all the HDMI standards. I bought this for a couch PC gaming setup, and I’m getting an impressive 4K 120Hz HDR image from 15 meters away from my PC with no issues.

There are two things to keep in mind. First, you need to connect the HDMI end labeled “Source” to your PC and the end labeled “Display” to your TV; otherwise, it won’t work. Second, go to Advanced Display Settings in Windows and manually change the refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz (or any other refresh rate your TV supports). Also, enable HDR (if your TV supports it) and adjust the scaling to get the best experience for your setup. The cable was fine. It worked with some devices and didn't work with others but I suspect the issue was on my end. Let's see about this "monthly draw" thing, shall we ;)
