It works, but a combination of my carpet not being hook and loop and my dog running around like a madman meant these things didn't stay in place for long.

Does a good job of protecting cables on the floor. Looks tidy. Easy to install and remove. However the stitching that holds the Velcro is very weak, so the first time I removed it from the carpet the Velcro separated from the backing. Also the cut ends fray. I once bought a non-stick frying pan. I cracked an egg into it and it stuck like I had superglued it in. Wrote a letter of complaint to Simon Gault.
Then I bought this cable cover. When I tried to stick it to the carpet it was like trying to put the same poles of magnets together. Not only did it not attach to the carpet in any way, I could almost feel opposing forces trying to put the product back in the bag. So I did, and returned it. I once bought a non-stick frying pan.
