TP-Link Tapo C100 2MP/1080P Indoor Wi-Fi Camera

Dont have a bad thing to say about this camera, setup was super easy video & sound quality is brilliant for the price. I use it to keep an eye on the dog and the built in microphone allows me to patch in with a "hey get out of it" when hes up to no good. Near as makes no difference this is the same as the KC100 model. But if you currently have a network of KC-series cameras and want to add to it, you can't, unless you create a new network using a completely different control app. In fact, it appears that ALL the Kasa-series products are being replaced by the Tapo-series - near identical, but with zero compatibility. So if you buy this product then expect it to be obsolete within a couple of years Near as makes no difference this is the same as the KC100 model. I picked this camera over other competing manufacturers at this price range purely because I hoped the smartphone app would be easy to use, work properly and generally be polished - and it certainly is! I had no problems setting up the camera and viewing it remotely including playback through the memory card via the app is really easy to use and works without crashing or any bugs.

Excellent support for multiple Tapo-series cameras through the app. Has RTSP support if you don't want to use the app all the time or want to use the camera through a device like a PC or similar.

There is only one negative I have and that is the supplied power cable doesn't match the camera colour (it's black whereas the camera housing is white) - but this is such a minor thing.

I bought 2 of these to bolster my Zoneminder based home video surveillance network. Setup was not as easy as hoped, but that was in part due to scarce documentation about using the cams with Zoneminder. However once I worked out the ONVIF settings and video source settings the cameras were seen by Zoneminder and could stream a steady 15 fps @ 1080p for monitoring. Picture quality is decent, colour rendition is quite nice, and they seem to handle strong contrast such as bright sunlight coming in windows without losing too much detail in the shadows. Other than working out the settings for use with 3rd party video surveillance software, the only minor issue I had was getting 1 of the cams to rotate about 35-40 degrees around when mounted high on a wall in a corner - I had to add a piece of foam under the mounting bracket to give the depth to allow to rotate the camera around to look diagonally across the space. Even with those minor issues I can recommend this camera

No issues setting up and using the camera. It acquired a DHCP address fine and and the app is reasonably good. But be aware you CANNOT set a static IP address. Here are the comms back from TP-Link tech support:
There are no Option for the camera to do Static IP for it
You can set up address reservation and IP&MAC binding on your router, then the camera will always get the same IP address from the router.
As of the moment we dont have information if and/or when it will happen . as of the moment we dont have the kind of option to the camera .
