Saw the reviews and I was really interested. In saying that, I was OK with my 5800X3D... However, it seems like my body has a mind on its own. One day after release, I was surprised why this showed up on my front door.. later I found out, that I unconsciously ordered it at 5am in the morning!!
Anyways, the performance is insanely good. If you're a competitive gamer, you definitely need this. BUY IT! Or you're unconscious self might order it for you...

Chart topping performance and incredible value from AMD
Just bought this to go along with my upgrade from a Ryzen 7 5800x on AM4 to this 9800x3d on AM5, and wow, this has been a huge performance upgrade that I never expected to see from a cpu instead of GPU upgrade.
With my 4070ti, I've seen uplifts of up to 200fps depending on title, with the biggest improvement seen in 1% lows and frametimes, making an incredibly smooth gaming experience.
What a beast!
Hell of an upgrade. Coming from a pure intel family not so long ago, I’ve finally turned to team red. Upgrading from an I7 9700k and paired with a rtx 3080 this thing has completely changed my gaming experience. Worth every cent.
