Game genres where the controller performed poorly or were non-functional are designed ideally to be played with a mouse not a fault of the controller but related to the game design.

Fir really well in the hands, however, my phone wouldn't connect to the USB C unless I took my case off. So I upgraded to the Gamesir G8+. Great Controller.

This controller is highly responsive and ergonomic, making it very comfortable to hold. I can't put it down while playing Dead Cells! The only drawback is that I have to remove my phone case (Samsung Ultra 24) because the USB plug isn't long enough to connect fully with the case on. I've recently purchased the GameSir G8 Galileo USB-C Mobile Gaming Controller and I'm quite impressed with it. The build quality is great, making it feel durable and well-made. Despite being a phone controller, it's very comfortable to use, even during long gaming sessions. This controller is great. I love the colour scheme, and how comfortable it is. Feels more sturdy than the backbone, and also have a moveable USB-C port which makes it easier to connet. Best controller on the market can't believe it's cheaper then Backbone which is a load of rubbish compared to this not to mention so comfortable I'm so pleased with my purchase. So I purchased this for use with a 16 Pro Max and initially had a bit of trouble getting it working. First of all, I found I had to squeeze the controller tightly into the phone for it to connect properly, this might be due to the case but something to keep in mind - you'll know it's connected when it lights up. Second, it only works in Dualshock mode - you have to hold the start and back buttons for a couple of seconds to switch modes, once the lights turn white you're in the correct mode and the controller should work sweet on iOS. Finally, there are firmware updates available for this controller but no way to update the firmware on iOS. Beyond all that, it's actually quite a nice controller. Direct USB connection so no latency or interference. Buttons, triggers etc all feel nice in the hand with a good tactile feedback and the quality feels great. Definitely recommend this controller.

Just about the only negative comment I have is that the instruction manual was printed for people standing 30cm tall. It is by far the smallest text I have ever seen in a manual, requiring +4 glasses to read properly.
Item is extremely well made, with all buttons and axes performing very well. The ability to move button tops and swap out sticks is much appreciated. Phones fits into the USB-C plug tightly, and you don't even need to remove your phone case unless it is super chunky. The phone is held very firmly in place by the spring-loaded mechanism, and you can wave the controller around without any fear of your phone going flying.

Most games are supported one way or another - but sadly some older games (Like Don Bluth's "Dragon's Lair") simply refuse to work, while others like Eric Chahi's "Another World" work very nicely.
Now, wouldn't it be nice if the latest Version of Android didn't refuse to install about 80% of the games I want to play. Now I have to carry an older Huawei P20 Pro as well as my Samsung S24+ in order to play all the games I like.
Works fantastically well in Sonic The Hedgehog!
