Logitech G915 X TKL LIGHTSYNC Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Black

I love the aesthetic and features and theres almost no delay with the wireless connection, one thing I would've liked though would be better battery life. If you have max brightness on the rgb lighting, you'd have to get it charged every couple of days. Had to return my other one i bought a few months ago because one of the keys was getting a little bit finnicky. I'd have to see for a while if this one will last a long time or it might've been some sort of factory defect. Otherwise, great quality.

I picked this keyboard up a couple weeks ago and am absolutely loving it. Only two things I have to critique this keyboard about, and they are: The keyboard is not perfectly flat, it angles towards the right (Press with your finger on the top right of the keyboard and it tips down ever so slightly.) and the ESC key is slightly hard to press but that might just mean it needs a little lubrication. However, this doesn't really affect typing though, so it works just fine for casual typing and gaming. It might just be my small hands but it's hard to press v with my thumb, so I have to use the index finger instead. I picked this keyboard up a couple weeks ago and am absolutely loving it. P.S. Yes, the double inputs are not deliberate but are left in on purpose.

I got this keyboard because it meet all my requirements for a new keyboard. I wanted a quality wireless keyboard with at minimum the 10 keys. And I got this keyboard because I have other Logitech items and knew the software. The wireless connection was far better and faster than I expected and the battery life is fantastic. The keys sound great but aren't annoyingly loud. The only reason that it's 4 and not 5 stars is the on board memory is being difficult. It's not saving macros properly but that's an issue I'm working to fix. I'm also liking that it has custom light patterns for popular games. Aside from the really nice tactile keys and aluminium chassis, the keyboard is incredibly fast switching between lightspeed dongle (my gaming pc) and bluetooth (my work laptop). Ideal for my use case. The only gripe I have is that you need to turn the back lighting down to quite dark or you'll be charging the keyboard every second day. It has to be plugged directly into a computer to charge. If charging via an extension USB it will hold charge but not recharge. Very annoying for those of us who are need our computers across the room as they are effectively 1200w heaters.

The G915 seems to be plagued by a mechanical fault which causes keys to register multiple inputs off a single press. For mechanical keyboards this is called key "chatter" and seems to be a very prevalent design flaw with this specific model from Logitech.
It seems it can occur on any key with enough use although milage may vary. For me it is currently a minor issue which is inconsistent where the "S" key where it intermittently double types but others have reported it can get worse.

Software for detecting Keyboard Chatter and then blocking it does exist and seems to be a sufficient solution until the manufacturing issues are resolved.

Its not as tactile as Im used to but thats the tradeoff with shallow keys, definitely feels more responsive so the tradeoffs worth it imo. Other than that its a keyboard theres not much else to say.
Oh I did have an issue where it didnt appear on the Ghub however a quick reinstall of the app fixed this issue. Purchased this keyboard (or one with different switches, cant remember) about a year ago. 4 months in i started have problems with the wireless function, and it would randomly disconnect for about a minute or less causing me to have to have it pulled in constantly (so why spend the extra 100 to have it wireless???) Volume wheel just doesnt work and randomly changes the volume to a random level, I assume that's a software issue (again logitechs software is garbage, worst software I've ever used, actual malware is more reliable than logitechs software.)

All in all, for its full price it is not worth it at all. Overpriced junk, you are paying for the name brand. don't buy a logitech keyboard. There are plenty better options out there, if you want customization, go wooting. Logitechs only good products are their mice and Sim setups
