When I first found these in store, I felt like King Arthur pulling the sword out of the stone. the magnet is strong enough that each unit stuck to each other.

however, the vent mount gets weak over time, so when I pull my phone off the mount comes with it.
you have to peel it off as you pivot it off one of the side edges to break away without pulling the mount of the vent.

This is super handy! it includes two different size metal plates that you can stick to your phone or case that both work well with the mount.

It will fit any airvent design, I have tried it on three different vehicle. The teeth on the mount that go into the vent are quite wide, so you can bend the plastic grill slightly dependent on the size of your vents in the car.

The one drawback is that you have to be very careful with the placement of the metal plate if you have a QI capable phone. They will interfere with the wireless charging of your device if you place it in a funny spot. Very good product my wife loves it she has a Pixel 1XL. Not what you want if you have a Pixel 3XL that wirelessly charges, the disk in the back disrupts the charging. Very strong magnet which holds my heavy combination (250g) of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 + stand case without any risk of dropping. I have yet to drive down a rutted back-country road, but so far it seems like it would hold in any condition. Also, the clamp on to the air vent is tight, so it is unlikely that the whole mount and phone will come off the air vent, which has happened with my previous mount.

Love the magnet concept as opposed the the clamp mount I had used previously. Convenient one-hand mounting and removal. Allows use of a screen cover case, which can be left either open or closed when on this car mount.

This product is great, it holds the phone better then I expected it to. It looks sleek and tidy, it has none of that clunky adjustable hardware like other phone mounts and works for all phone. I would like however a smaller magnetic plate to stick onto the back of the device so it doesn't take up as much room. However it still looks nice and is worth the buy. I could tell you how good this car mount is, but probably the best recommendation is saying we've bought two of these so far over the years, and all my family members now own (and love) their own. Borrowing my sister's car? No problem!

The mount is very good it uses magnets so you don't have to clip it in. The only problem I have is that my phone shakes off easily, but I do have a thick plasticish sticker on the back of my phone so that probably reduces the magnet strength. The magnet on this car mount holder is really strong so no danger of the phone falling off during the trip. The unit is compact, unobtrusive and easy to use. Downside is that the "stick on" plate that mounts to the inside of the case interferes a little with my wireless charger system. One other issue is that the prongs that mount onto the air vent blades are a little too grippy and can damage the blades if you are not careful when removing. Great at the start, the rubbers on the bits where it attaches to your car has come off and the stainless steel bits have now poked out. So wouldn't recommend unless you're into ruining and scratching your car. Two main issues with this, when I attached the metal magnet, the instructions said to put in a plastic piece between the phone and the magnet. The adhesive is not strong enough and kept on coming off, I ended up just putting the second magnet on the phone cover itself. This worked a lot better
