The ability to watch and manage content on the glasses is great but its a little restrictive navigating the device as the glasses aren’t transparent sufficient to navigate on a touch screen. I cannot recommend this AR glasses as of right now.
Imagine having a screen in front of your face that move and jiggle with your head. That is what it's like without the Nebula app or the BEAM device. The app and the device allow for proper control but the app called Nebula isn't available in New Zealand yet and I bet you need to buy the XREAL BEAM Pro (https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MVRXRL0005/Xreal-XREAL-BEAM-Pro-Wifi-8G256G-Ultimate-AR-glass) to use it at full potential-and that's another $500. You can't even tell the battery level on this thing.
So as of December 2025, it's just a secondary screen.

On the upside, it's very plug-and-play on my samsung smartphone and nintendo switch. Perfect resolution, refresh rate and respond time.

Bought this and had prescription lenses made in the same day. (if you are near sighted this is necessary unless you use contact lenses)

The app to run it with your phone is not available in our country so you have to dig through in their reddit forums for the application/program
compatiblity with windows is also the same (dig through their reddit forum) and you would need a thunderbolt capable device for it to work otherwise you need a powered DP to usb C dongle which PB tech do not have as of writing this, although you can probably make it work by buying multiple dongles.

2 month update: Using multiple Dongle to make it work with windows will not work, if you have a decent Machine with Dedicated GPU, you need an active Dp to USB C cable.

if you are in the apple eco-system you should be fine and all the programs needed should be available to you.

I dont recommend, you might as well get a quest 3 as you would reach the same price point if you are near sighted and is not on the apple eco-system.

it works great when you get it working, great colour accuracy and could be use for work. relatively light.
Has an Imax feel when you are in theatre mode, its purely for media consumption although it might work for gaming when you get the virtual desktop working.

Update: works well in gaming but not for everyone, you can emulate a 32:9 ultra wide OLED monitor with it. Media consumption wise it's really good BUT, the display suffers from screen tearing due to the programs nature (beta) if you are on windows and android I really do not recommend this unless you get the Beam pro which would set you over the price of a Quest 3 (just better over all) but if you are getting this just consume media it's too expensive for too little and one pros end up being too gimmicky for the price. Although a cheap gateway for OLED monitors without requiring more space
