TP-Link Deco X55 (AX3000) Dual-Band WiFi 6 Whole-Home Mesh System - 2 Pack

This is a great Wifi6 Mesh network. I chose this for my wife moving to a working from home environment and my eldest son needing a better connection for gaming. The 3 ethernet ports for each unit was a deciding factor over other units which only had 2 ethernet ports.

Results Before the mesh network.
I have 100 year old bungalow with 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 stories and a basement.
Close to the router was getting around 170mbps down/30 up
One room was getting 30Mbps up/down another bathrooms had no connection.

Your results will vary. But this really works for me.

With a smart home I require a network that can handle a lot of devices an maintain a fast network speed. I previously had the TP link deco m5's but found the total bandwidth load was not enough, so i then up graded to the netgear orbi Wi-Fi 6 RBK 352. download speeds were great but with my 50+ devices it really struggled to keep up an I found devices were fighting to connect resulting in devices dropping off the network. I did a lot of research to find the TP link x55 a great mesh network at a very good price. I compared it to other brands where the specs were pretty close in comparison but the TP link had better value for money.

My internet plan is 900+ download and with the network system being a mesh network I average 750-800mb download not matter where i am in my house. i have utilized the wired backhaul to connect the node to the main router to ensure I have maximum wireless transmissions for my Wi-Fi devices. Connected smart devices work seamlessly an almost instantaneously. I've had this system for over 2 months now and its has kept up with all my needs. The TP link app has great controls for QOS (quality of service is setting the network to prioritize usage gaming, internet surfing or streaming etc). basic parental controls, easy to identify list of devices and many other features. Its very easy to setup and the interface is simple to use.

I highly recommend this product and my experience is a testament to how good this really is.

Using 3 devices across a 2-storey townhouse, with 1 deco downstairs and 1 upstairs. I really like the look of them too - they fit into the look of rooms well, rather than the old-school, awkward-looking routers. I have taped over the light on one as it is pretty bright and not great for sleep. We have several buildings spread out on our property and we have not had any issues getting WiFi to all the locations. It was easy to set up and happy with it so far. Bought this from PB Tech in Wellington. Saw it advertised for a sharp price. I had bought a TP Link mesh router three days before from another retailer. It took ages to set up and kept dropping devices. The app was buggy and speeds would fluctuate badly. In the end had to get an IT support person to come and try to resolve the issues. They couldn’t. They set up the Decco 20 for me in the hope I’d buy it from them. Got the x55 from PB cheaper than they tried to on sell the x20s! The setup was super easy and fast. The app works properly. I ordered the Deco mesh and it arrived really quick. Pulled it out of the box, plugged it in, followed the instructions and blam, all set up. Just like that. The installation was not without hiccups. But the warning by yje salesperson that we might need to contact Spark was in the end not necessary as Deco had the data from spark pre installed in the software.
