TP-Link Deco M4 (AC1200) Dual-Band WiFi 5 Whole Home Mesh System - 3 Pack

We have a 2 storey house and were using powerline networking adapters to get internet connection from the router on the ground floor to the bedrooms on the upper floor. This worked but speed wasn't great, perhaps 10-15Mbps. So i bought this TP-Link kits to replace it and its great! Pretty easy to set up and the internet connection speed upstairs is now close to 20 times faster, steadily around 260-280Mbps. I also like the fact that all 3 x of the nodes have 2 x ethernet ports in them and so you can plug desktop PCs directly into those without needing to also buy a wireless adapter. I purchased this product over the weekend. I'd done extensive research and knew this was the right one for my home. It's over three floors at 330sqm with a property area of over 600sqm. I was able to set this up with no hassle using the downloaded app. It was up and running in minutes. nThis product has given me speeds of 190mbps over virtually every area of the house (apart from 2 spots at 70mbps - and I'm not complaining). It's also given me coverage out to the back of the property at 60mbps. A great purchase. And don't listen to anyone who tries to say you need an ax system. Had to use a certain phone to install but it worked fine on that phone. Everyone is joining the network easily now. No internet issues since installation. For a large house, I had 3 Wi-Fi routers. But hand over was a nightmare as you moved around the house. These are a perfect solution. Easy to set up. Then just forget about them. Highly recommend. We had little choice but to get Starlink for our new country place but the wifi range was very limited. The TP-link Deco Mesh system was recommended by Starlink and we are well pleased with the system. It extended the range out to the office in the garage but also way down to the barn and beyond. Speed-test compared wif from the Starlink router with wifi from the TP-link showed the TP-link Mesh hugely improved the speed. I can also walk out from the house with a work laptop with a teams meeting going and it switches from the TP-link unit in the house to the unit in the garage office no problem. One thing to note if this is used to improve Starlink interenet - I didn't realize that to update the Starlink app on my phone I had to switch back to the Starlink wifi at least long enough for it to complete the software update, then I switched back to the TP-link Deco Mesh wifi for the better speed (~300 Mbps) .

Multi level, probably would have gotten away with two but 3 is fine. E4 model would have worked with 100mbps cap but M4 future proofs for inevitable upgrades. Good purchase.

We bought a Starlink basic install kit and soon found that WiFi wouldn't extend very far and certainly not out to the office in the garage right next to the house. So like a lot of others then had to by a Starlink ethernet adapter and the TP-link Deco M$ AC1200. I bought the 3 pack. It was simple enough to set up. So for me the TP-Link Deco was a dramatic improvement extending the WiFi way farther than I thought possible and seems to have significantly improved the Starlink setup. You just have to select the TP-Link WiFi, give it a name and ignore the WiFi from the actual Starlink modem. I think I got the 3 pack while on sale but well worth the money even if not on sale. Ordered online and arrived very quickly even by Rural delivery.

All config is done by the app. The web interface is basically useless. That being said, the app is easy to use, but I dislike having to install an app for every little thing.
