TP-Link Tapo Smart Temperature & Humidity Monitor (T315)

First up. Works perfectly on its own without the need of a hub or network hook up. Everything is on the screen for you to see at a glance.
However. Once I had it hooked up to the HUB then it comes into its own. The hook up is pretty straight forward just follow the instructions.
The extra stuff for it is in the app on your phone. You can then use it to start a heater or a fan if its cold or too hot. Same with a humidifier or dehumidifier.
Also from the app you can see a history and see when the events take place for some future planning.

I can also see the temp any where even when I'm not at home. Could set up an alarm if it gets too hot and I'm not there.

bought this dearer model because it didn’t say it needed the hub where as the cheaper model does. Annoyed, I should’ve done my research. I bought a couple of these monitors along with the Tapo Chime Hub and smart plugs to be able to control heating in the kids rooms. The TP-Link Tapo system is incredibly simple to use, a great app to set up the devices and a very intuitive method to set up controls to turn on and off devices based on room temperature.

Would strongly recommend these if you are looking to introduce some automation to your home, I've subsequently bought some additional temperature sensors and will be also putting TP-Link Tapo lights and switches throughout the house.

Good buy, reads the temp and humidity accurately. only downside is that in needs a hub so you can view the data's over your phone or connect it to smart home app like google home. otherwise working as standalone.
