Siri can recognise the voices of up to six different family members on HomePod mini - and create a personalised experience for each person. HomePod mini only listens for "Hey Siri" - so you can speak freely knowing nothing you say is sent out of your home until you activate Siri with a touch or HomePod mini hears the magic words, "Hey Siri".
With HomeKit Secure Video support, HomePod mini can analyse the feeds of your supported video cameras, detecting the presence of people and recognising familiar faces, pets and cars. All video processing is done on your device before it's sent to iCloud with end-to-end encryption - so your recordings can only be seen by you and the people you share them with, not Apple.
When you ask Siri something, your request is associated with a random identifier, not your Apple ID.

Okay product
It works well for its advertised usage such as siri and streaming Apple music, but don't use it solely as an external speaker because of the airplay 2 sec delay
Great sound but not portable
I bought it right away after listening to it in the store, but when I got home, I realized it wasn't portable, which is surprising in2022, so I returned it right away but had to pay a 20% return fee.
Smart home device
I have been using iPhone since the first generation, and I tried iPad, iMac and MacBook. They are all great! But I’ve never tried the smart home line. So I decided to have a go on HomePod mini.

*I don’t know if I got a faulty one or everyone’s the same. When I tried to cast the music I was playing on iPhone to HomePod mini by tapping the phone to HomePod mini (as instructions said so), failed 9 when I tried 10 times.
*It doesn’t support play music on Spotify

Excellent product, great to control your smart home accessories from anywhere. Use automation such as the lights goes on as you arrive home. Worth the buy and I am really satisfied with the product

The Apple mini HomePod speaker has fantastic sound and connectivity with Siri if you are an Apple household. It needs to be plugged in and therefore isn't portable; something we weren't aware of.
Perfect sound quality
I can not just believe that this little speaker can produce such perfect sound. it is really good for a small bedroom in an apartment. You can ask Siri to set alarms or ask about weather or a bunch of other cool features that are definitely useful.
Small size but good sound quality
Sound quality is good despite its small form. Works great with home automation via Siri.

Awesome speaker with Homekit functionality
Bought one of these on sale, and wow was it worth it.
It is amazing as a speaker - I use it to listen to Spotify from my phone. Good bass and clarity for music
I also use it as a Homekit hub for my smartlight, the ability to tell Siri to turn off my bedside light while half asleep is a major plus.
10/10 purchase, no regrets
Good cheaper alternative of the HomePod
Sound is great on this. Still looking to buy another one to conect them both for my TV set up. Even with one, it still hold up very well !
