2080ti to 5080 - Epic
Just get one - worth every penny!
I had my 2080ti for about 5 years, and could still play 4k 60fps on most games on low/medium sometimes high usually with AA off, but i wanted to go beyond 60fps and get a new monitor.
I went for a 1440p 180hz curved AoC screen and whilst the 2080ti handled that well, i still had to muck around with graphics settings all the time.
Once i got the 5080, boom! Whole new world, in most cases its just set the game to max and no problems at all.
Card runs quiet, temps are great, card looks super cool.

Twice the price, twice the fun. Once I got past the price, no complaints. My racing games are all on max settings now. That's what I was after. Seeing as I've seen it mentioned elsewhere: no coil whine at all. (One star off for crazy gpu prices)
Well built
It's a big card, but very well built. I've had the tuf / rog range since the 2080, including a 3090. This is very well made, and very good at cooling. My biggest surprise is how cool it stayed under load. Highly recommend you check the length and upgrade your PSU to an ATX 3.1 PSU at the same time.
